About

The who, what, where, when & why...

Why?

Catastrophic heatwaves, devastating droughts, deadly wildfires and extreme storms.
The world is seeing glimpses of what the future could be without urgent action to solve the climate crisis. But everywhere, people are coming together to organise for real climate solutions.

More than ever, we need to be fighting to win, to shift the narrative, and to build a massive movement for climate justice.

How?

The aim of the project is to strengthen the movement for climate justice in the UK.
To build a more aligned community of activists and campaigners, and to improve how we are communicating about climate change and its causes and impacts.

The project is coordinated by 350.org, PIRC and NEON , and ran over the course of about 12 months, with sessions roughly every 2-3 months. The  commitment from participants across this time was 8-10 days of session time (plus travel time), with some work and activities between sessions.

During the project we learnt about framing and narrative techniques, carried out communications research, developed new ways of talking about climate justice and tested them with people across the UK. We also explored how we can build a stronger movement with justice at its heart.

Where?

Five workshops sessions across the UK...
... plus focus groups and an online poll too.
